David Walliams parted ways with publishing house.
Prolific writer for children and entertainer David Walliams has been dropped by his longtime publishing house, according to an announcement.
A representative for the company said: "After careful consideration, and with the guidance of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing additional books by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the conclusion was made after an investigation into reports of conduct deemed unsuitable towards young women.
The firm declined to specify the reasons for its decision, noting: "We refrain from speaking about private personnel issues."
A Prolific Writing Journey
Walliams is one of the UK's most prolific writers for young readers, boasting over over six tens of millions of copies worldwide in dozens of tongues.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Some of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into TV movies.
His bibliography includes over four dozen titles combined, which features a Christmas book titled *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins in October.
From Screen to Page
His career breakthrough occurred on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE several years ago honoring his contributions to the charitable sector and arts community.
The publisher's decision comes after the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive last fall.
